Member Visit and Inter-Cluster Meeting: iFood Food Industry Cluster x Dél-Dunántúli Gépipari Klaszter – Focus on Automation, Digitalisation and Joint Procurement

On 23 April, a joint professional meeting of the iFood Food Industry Cluster and the Dél-Dunántúli Gépipari Klaszter (DDGK) took place in Kaposvár and Hetes, focusing on automation, digitalisation, joint procurement opportunities and asset management solutions for family businesses.

In the first part of the event, participants toured the operations of Kapos Ternero Kft.’s slaughterhouse in Hetes, after which the group moved to the Somogy Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the inter-cluster professional meeting.

The event was opened by Linda Szommerné Egyed (iFood Food Industry Cluster) and Balázs Csirke (DDGK). The meeting was moderated by Bernadett Németh, coordination and HR specialist at 1. Magyar Cukor Manufaktúra Kft.

During the professional day, the supporter agreement between Goodwill Consulting Pályázati Tanácsadó Kft. and the iFood Food Industry Cluster was signed. Founding owner Gábor Harsányi also introduced himself.

The roundtable discussion focused on three key areas: asset management approaches for family businesses, joint procurement opportunities, and the practical application of automation and digitalisation along with the challenges of implementation.

On asset management approaches for family businesses, Krisztina Borsos (Hidrofilt Kft., DDGK board member) and Attila Sztankó (Kometa 99 Zrt., iFood advisor) shared their experiences. Joint procurement opportunities were presented by Dr. István Hüse (KKV Trade Kft., Gépszer Kft., DDGK board member) and László Gregorics (Halker Kft.). Linda Szommerné Egyed (iFood Food Industry Cluster, Fino-Food Kft.) gave a presentation on automation and digitalisation.

The purpose of the inter-cluster cooperation was to explore synergies between the two sectors – food industry and mechanical engineering – and to create concrete opportunities for cooperation.

We thank all participants, speakers and partners for their active presence!
