Together with our members, we took part in the Enterprise Horizon PROGRESS workshop of the National Innovation Agency (NIÜ) in Budapest on 9 October 2026. The advanced, food-focused training was held specifically for members of iFood Cluster and covered the practical side of applying for Horizon Europe funding.
The workshop followed on from the Enterprise Horizon START training on 22 September. While the first session covered the basics of the programme, this time the focus was on application strategies, specific calls and the steps of submission.
The presentations introduced food industry funding opportunities for 2026-2027, including Horizon Europe Cluster 6 calls, the CBE JU and FOOD partnerships, and EIT Food programmes. Further options were also discussed, such as Widening and Eurostars, as well as the European Innovation Council (EIC) Pathfinder, Transition and Accelerator schemes. In the practical session, we went through the Funding & Tenders portal, the application documents and budget planning.
We have shared the presentation materials with our members, so those who could not attend can also review them. The food industry and EIC presentations include specific calls and submission deadlines.
We thank the National Innovation Agency for the practical and informative workshop.
