Horizon Europe funding basics at the NIÜ Enterprise Horizon START training

On 22 September 2026, members of iFood Cluster attended the Enterprise Horizon START funding training held by the National Innovation Agency (NIÜ) in Budapest. The open training introduced the fundamentals of Horizon Europe, the EU’s research and innovation framework programme.

The presentations covered the structure of the programme and how to use the Funding and Tenders portal, as well as the basics of consortium building, the cross-cutting requirements expected in proposals and budget planning. Speakers also discussed opportunities in foreign markets and the services the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) offers to businesses. After the event, the cluster shared the training materials with all its members.

As a follow-up, an advanced Enterprise Horizon PROGRESS workshop focusing on the food industry will take place on 9 October, specifically for members of iFood Cluster. The programme includes funding opportunities for the food industry, applicant experiences, European Innovation Council (EIC) calls, and financial planning and eligible costs. Completing the START training is not required to take part.

We thank the National Innovation Agency for the informative training.
