About us
Sziget Credit Kft., a member of the Szafi Group, operates the Szafi Bistro & Bakery bistros. At our venues, we welcome guests with gluten-free dishes, freshly baked bread and pastries, and desserts. We put together our menu so that there is something to choose from whether it’s breakfast, a working lunch or a family meal.
The bistros build on more than a decade of product and recipe development experience behind the Szafi brand. The group’s owners, Anita Ipsits and Gábor Ipsits, have worked in the food industry since 2013 and have led the development of the Szafi brand as its owners since 2020. We bring the expertise gained in production and dietetics to our foodservice work as well.
For our dishes and pastries, we mostly use Szafi ingredients from our own production. The menu includes sandwiches, burgers, lángos, salads, pancakes and waffles, with both meat-based and plant-based options. Beyond gluten-free status, an allergen matrix helps guests check the additional free-from properties of each dish.
Checking raw materials, food safety and compliance with hygiene regulations play a central role in our operations. The Szafi products we use are backed by the group’s product development and quality assurance system, which includes IFS-certified production as well as testing in both our own and external accredited laboratories.
In addition to dining in and takeaway, our food is also available for home delivery. Guests can also buy Szafi ingredients and frozen bakery products at our bistros for use at home. Our catering service covers corporate events and private occasions, and we take guests’ stated dietary needs into account when putting together each offer. We are working to ensure that people eating gluten-free can find suitable options for both everyday meals and shared occasions.
