We signed a cooperation agreement with DDRIÜ at the COOL-BORDER kick-off meeting

iFood Cluster has signed a cooperation agreement with the South Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency (DDRIÜ) at the international kick-off meeting of the COOL-BORDER project, held in Pula and Pazin, Croatia, from 23 to 25 September 2026.

The agreement was signed by Margit Weisz, Cluster Manager, on behalf of iFood Cluster and by Zoltán János Haász, Managing Director, on behalf of DDRIÜ. The cluster’s delegation was joined by Éva Molnár, representing member company Silver Tojás Kft.

COOL-BORDER is an Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE project that reduces cross-border barriers in Central European value chains for frozen, chilled and pre-cooled food by applying circular economy principles. SMEs face different packaging, documentation, cold chain monitoring and traceability requirements in each country, which creates extra costs and administrative burden.

The 24-month project, with a total budget of almost EUR 1.2 million, brings together seven partners from six countries. DDRIÜ is the lead partner and MIRBEST Klaszter Nonprofit Kft. is the primary professional partner. iFood Cluster is involved in the project as a strategic/associated partner.

During the meeting, the project’s Steering Committee was set up, and participants visited the Latus Dairy cheese factory in Žminj.

We thank DDRIÜ for the invitation and look forward to working together on the project.
