On April 22 2024, at the headquarters of Halker Ltd., one of the founding members of the iFood Cluster, in Balatonboglár, we organized the joint meeting, member visit and professional event of the iFood Cluster and Mirbest Central European Cluster for Gastronomic Innovation. The event focused on the actual national food tender and quality assurance.
During the first part of the event, participants were able to learn about the latest developments in the two clusters and the domestic cluster ecosystem through thematic presentations entitled iFood Cluster Minutes and Mirbest Central European Cluster Minutes. Cluster managers Margit Weisz and Zsolt Teleki presented the events of the last six months, the plans for the next six months, future development ideas and strategic directions.

In the subsequent Inspiring Professional Afternoons for Members Only programme, the main topic of the professional presentations was food safety and related challenges, introduced by Erzsébet Szabó, expert of the cluster member Profiso Kft. Then Zoltán Szabó, ESG Division Manager of Profiso Ltd. spoke about the role of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) in corporate competitiveness. The programme continued with Tamás Horváth, Managing Director of H2H Solutions Ltd., who spoke about the upcoming opportunities for tenders and development grants in the food industry.

The event ended with a round table discussion, where participants had the opportunity to share their development ideas and tender plans with each other. The round table was moderated by Linda Egyed Szommerné, President of the iFood Food Cluster.

At the end of the event, the host, Halker Ltd., presented its premises in the framework of the Get to know each other programme and gave the participants the opportunity to visit the site.

The event, jointly organised by the two clusters, successfully brought together members of both organisations, creating an opportunity to share professional experiences and network.
